Offering a range of services, and levels of service, including support and guidance for home based, natural after death care using cooling to maintain the body without the need for embalming. We will soon be able to offer the sacred service of natural care in our premises for those of you who are not resourced to take care of your loved one in your home. A full range of conventional options also available. We will organise all, or a portion, of the funeral services, depending on your choices, and will happily support family led funerals that are designed and directed by you and those close to you. Having many years of experience in planning and facilitating various events and ceremonies, we are able to offer a comprehensive celebrancy service, both in house and from a list of hand picked community based celebrants.
The fee structure is designed to give you the most choice. The professional fee for a bespoke funeral is $2,695. The fees are made up of three components; a professional fee that covers all and any work that we do, your personal choices for the funeral that is right for your loved one, and any disbursements paid to third parties These items might include, amongst others; transfer in our vehicle, cremation or burial fees, doctors certificates, flowers, venue and equipment hire, death notices and death certificates. There is also a simple cremation total package for $2,960, which allows you to remember your loved one at a time and place that suits. There is no service at the crematorium and family do not attend in this package. After hours, weekend and public holiday surcharges may apply. Travel beyond a 25km radius from Whangarei may incur additional charges. All prices are GST inclusive.
We are proud of our objective of minimising the environmental impact of funeral practices and, in line with that, offer you a comprehensive range of eco and locally made caskets to suit your needs. As well, a rental option, using a rimu veneer casket with solid wood handles, and a disposable liner. Also happily able to include the option of a shroud, for both cremation and burial, including our favourite bamboo fiber fabric shroud with eight built in sturdy carry handles.
We have two vehicles in our current fleet; an off white 2010 Chrysler Grand Voyager, fully refitted for purpose, and a cream 1961 Morris Minor, affectionately known as 'Grace', which is our favourite run around.
We can suggest a range of other vehicles available for funeral use from local vintage and classic car enthusiasts, or you may have a vehicle in your own network that you would like to use.
