​

  • Support and guidance for home based, natural after death care, using cooling to maintain the body without the need for embalming

  • A full range of conventional options

  • We are now able to offer the sacred service of natural care using the cool room at our premises in Glenbervie, Whangarei, for those of you who are not resourced to take care of your loved one in your home

Funerals

​

  • Support and guidance for family led funerals that are designed and directed by you and those close to you

  • All, or a portion of the funeral services, depending on your choices

Celebrancy

 

Having many years of experience in planning and facilitating various events and ceremonies, we are able to offer a comprehensive celebrancy service, both in house and from a list of hand picked community based celebrants

The fee structure is designed to give you the most choice. 

 

The fees are made up of three components:
 

  • A professional fee that covers all and any work that we do
    The professional fee for a bespoke funeral is $3,640.

  • Your personal choices for the funeral that are right for your loved one

  • Any disbursements paid to third parties
    These items might include, amongst others, transfer in our vehicle, cremation or burial fees, doctors certificates, flowers, venue and equipment hire, death notices and death certificates. 

 

There is also a simple cremation total package for $4,150, which allows you to remember your loved one at a time and place that suits. There is no service at the crematorium and family do not attend in this package. 

 

After hours, weekend and public holiday surcharges may apply. 
Travel beyond a 25 km radius from Whangarei may incur additional charges.

We are proud of our objective of minimising the environmental impact of funeral practices and, in line with that, we offer you:

 

  • a comprehensive range of eco and locally made caskets to suit
    your needs

  • a rental option, using a rimu veneer casket with solid wood handles,
    and a disposable liner 

  • the option of a shroud, for both cremation and burial, including our favourite natural fibre shroud with eight built in sturdy carry handles

Our current vehicles are an off white 2010 Chrysler Grand Voyager, and a silver 2012 Mercedes Benz R350, both fully refitted for purpose.

 

We can also suggest a range of other vehicles available for funeral use from local vintage and classic car enthusiasts, or you may have a vehicle in your own network that you would like to use.
